How I approached it
I treated the dataset as a product asset: clean the records, make discovery easier, add useful context and build feedback loops through search, content and analytics. Immigration-related products need clarity, not false certainty.
Operating lessons
- Public data becomes useful only after it is structured around the user’s actual question.
- AI can help with enrichment, but immigration-related language needs conservative boundaries.
- Distribution is part of the product, not a separate marketing layer, when search demand already exists.
